S&W 500 J Frame April Fool’s Joke

My 4" .500 is right on the verge of being physically injurious when fired. My 340PD is over the line - with full-power .357 loads, 10 rounds is enough to cause damage to my right wrist, which can take several weeks to heal.

So I figure a J frame .500 would cause instant damage with one shot. The best one could probably hope for is for the thing to fly out of your hand, miss your head, and land somewhere irretrievable. :D

I have a 640 pro 357mag, now I'm gonna have to go shoot it with 357mag just to see how bad it is. I do have bad arthritis in my dominant hand, but I have to at least try it.
I do have a hand doctor, already had 3 surgerys supposed to have a 4th.
Please don’t try it. It’s probably not going to be worth it. I had a model 60 Pro .357. It was 1 ounce heavier than the 640 Pro. I regret shooting that 60 with 158 grain magnum rounds.
My days of thunder are over regarding handguns.
I still shoot .357 magnum and stout .45 Colt loads, but I do so in heavier guns.

Several years ago I was at my local BiMart in Oregon and they had these S&W 360SS .357 Magnum revolvers in stock. The price was $360. They had 2 in stock. I decided I needed one…until the lady at the gun counter put one in my hand. 13 ounces in weight. Too light! Too light for me even in .38 Special. My 60 Pro weighed 10 ounces more and it was a bear to fire in .357. Thinking about shooting the 360SS gave me flashbacks of the KelTec P3AT. That little pistol was a monster of snappy recoil.

That 500 J frame (if it's real and not April Fool) is easily half the weight of a full sized 500 revolver. Half the weight, roughly twice the recoil velocity. Kinetic energy equals mass times the square of the velocity. That 500 J frame would have recoil energy on the wrist transplant end of the scale. Not quite four times the recoil energy of a proper weight 500 revolver, but too much for me.
Ahhhhh.....but thats the beauty of Fictionite forging technology.....it may look like your average J frame, but the density of the Fictionite actually has the gun weighing in at 9 pounds. It'll have the same felt recoil of a 38.....
Of course, the gun comes as a concealed carry system with custom counter weighted gun belt and holster, with padded suspenders so ya ain't losing ya action slacks carrying around this beauty and the included speed loaders full of ammunition......😉

Sounds like a Bond skit… shoot one baddie in the front, gun flies over shoulder and knocks the other into some sort of airplane propeller or something. 🤣🤣🤣
