S&W 5903 Refinish Options

I have a police trade in 5903 with the alloy frame. Internally its mint but externally, the rear of the frame above the back of the grip has significant wear from what I would assume was a holster strap. What is the most economical yet tough refinish option for a weapon that still sees a holster on a daily basis? I know S&W offers a re-anodize service at around $100.
