S&W 686 Deluxe .357 Mag 3" Plus Talo Exclusive

I broke down today and ordered me a S&W 686 Deluxe .357 Mag 3" Plus Talo Exclusive hopefully it will be here this week. Anyone have info/ thoughts / experience reqarding this 686 Talo version would be appreciated.I am looking forward to going to the range soon.

I like my old 3" CS-1 non hillary hole 686... if you like a good revolver you should enjoy it!

I prefer non-hillary hole anything but these days you have to do what you have to do.

I have the 3-5-7 Talo 3" 686+ with an unfluted cylinder.

It's a really good shooter and I imagine yours will be also. The only thing I did was put a much larger grip on it. The one that comes on that gun is way too narrow for me.

I planned on larger different style grips, pictures will be forth coming when it gets here.

I have a 3-5-7 Talo. I have put over 3500 magnum rounds through it without even cleaning it. It is still going strong.

Just picked it up this am, It's beautiful , nice crisp action , I am thrilled. Time for a range session !! I added some Altamont Super Walnut Target Grips for the time being they are little fuller in my hands.

Very nice but personally I would swap those grips for some combat style a shorter grip will be more proportional to the 3in barrel. I had the opposite problem with combat grips my 19 seemed off with a 4in barrel

I threw on some Hogue grips I had laying around while I am waiting for my Badger grips to arrive.

Congrats you will love it. I have a pre lock 686+ and a Post Lock and they both shoot great. The 3" is really cool.

My 4” 686+ is a great shooter, with the slightly shorter barrel yours should be just as fun... and a bit more concealable to boot!

Once those other grips come in you’ll have a real beauty!
