I just got into a S&W Model 78G=.22 cal CO2 pistol.
Got here local to Indy (Indiana) for a GREAT price-like new in the box with most all of the original stuff.
The seals must be good for it's old age since the gas pressure has held for a couple of weeks..
It seems to shoot well also after some nail polish placed on the front sight=Old Eyes..HA.HA..

What is your thoughts Pro/Con on these series of pellet guns??

Thanks in advance..Bill.

Judging from the prices they fetch on the auction sites - there is plenty of love.
Like the Crosman Mark I and II, they are simple and robust.

Here's a similar design from Czechoslovakia:

I purchased a 78g brand new in the early 70's and still own it.
The adjustable trigger versions of these air pistols are incredible.
These guns were made to look like S&W's model 41 22 rimfire target pistol
(but they actually mimic more closely the model 46 target pistol with more matted finish and plastic grips).
