Shooting impressions:
This morning I went to the range to sight in the iron sights. From a bench using a sand bag, shooting at a standard issue 300m zero target. Shooting M855 62gr green tip ammo. My first group I had just one outside the little black silhouette. I adjusted my rear sight to the right 6 clicks and fired 3 more round right on target. The trigger from the factory is very nice IMO its about 6lbs with no creep or grit I enjoy it a lot. I shot three round groups at targets 50m, 100m, 200m, and 300m. The 200m was down hill so I hit a little low but other that everything else hit where I was aiming.

Everybody I know who has one of those and the members here who have them all have had nothing but good to say about them. Leads me to believe some of the best bang for the buck out there. Enjoy it and shoot it frequently. Congratulations on your new rifle.

Very nice. I love my M&P15A. S&W makes very good ARs.

It could only be better if it were a midlength gas system, but that is being very picky.

Looks like a little Kyle Lamb influence in that one, though I haven't seen his name associated with it... nice carbine, and the proof is always in the shooting.

Nice looking rifle! I have had no problems with my S&W, they build a good gun. Mine has the plane plastic fore end, am thinking about changing that one day.

I don't own a M&P-15 but I do have the 15-22 and I like it. S&W makes a good mid range AR.

Great pics. Did that rail come from the factory? I've got an older T that was made back when they had Troy flip-up sights and the Troy quad rail. Love the Troy sights but the quad rail is HEAVY. I'd like to swap it out if possible.

I love mine (not as nice as yours) and its a great deal when compared to similar market ARs. Hogs all over east Texas rue the day I walked into my LGS ans first lay eyes on her.

Thank you all

MK11,
It is a 13" Troy Alpha Rail and it did come factory. Mine came with the Magpul sights and they were almost dead on out of the box. I would have perfered the troy sights.

I hit the range yesterday to sight in the new Leupold and Red Dot. It ran amazingly and held pretty good groups all the way out to 300m. I will be changing out the mount for the scope.
