Was just reading through this thread again, since Taff brought it back to the front page, and reading Mr. Camp's comments was ... just a bit poignant.
Anyway. My father has gotten a different pistol, and so has returned my M&P, but while it was away, I bought a nearly unfired Model 13-3, 3", round butt. Interesting, to say the least, to shoot the five-screw, long action M&P next to the 3-screw, short action. Of course, that M&P has so many years of firing and dry firing behind it that its action is as slick as any double-action trigger could be, and that 13 has hardly been fired at all. I'm pretty sure the couple hundred rounds I've fired through it in the months since I bought it are more than it ever fired since it was made.
So. Now I have 2 not-quite-Model 10 revolvers. I must rectify this within the next year. I must acquire an actual Model 10. Or not. I mean, what really would I do with another one?
