I understand these guns are chambered in .32 S&W long, but I have some questions...

What is the difference between the M30 & the M31?

How many rounds do they hold?

Are they J-frames like the older/smaller J-frames (pre-magnum J frame) or are they I frames?

Any idea what they weigh or dimensions?

Thank you for the info!:)

The M30 is the .32 Hand Ejector and was built with a round-butt. The M31 is the .32 Regulation Police and was built with a square butt. The M30 and M31 were built on the I-frame; the M30-1 and M31-1 denote the change to the J-frame. These were all six-shot guns.

They weigh about 18-19 ounces with a four-inch barrel.

The M30 was discontinued in 1976. The M31 was deleted in 1991. The M31-2 denotes a change in the yoke retention system, and the M31-3 changed the front sight width from 1/10" to 1/8".
