S&W Model 19

Hey all... local shop has a snubnosed Smith 19, .357, with Pachmyer grips. Looks VERY clean, nice trigger. Price is #325. Sound worthwhile?

I paid less for my 19-5, but that's in the range I've been seeing since I bought it back in the fall.

Mine also has a good, smoothed trigger, (I like a smooth trigger for DA shooting.) It came with rubber grips, which I also like, and has been accurate with my reloads and Black Hills 125 grain .357 Magnum loads.

I need to find a decent holster for my M19, but haven't yet.

Do you think they'd take $300 for it?

possibly. Although I've never seen this shop lower their prices...

It IS a used gun, but looks VERY clean. Blued, too (which I understand isn't offered anymore?)...

That's not too bad. I paid $300 last year for a 4" 19-3 in slightly mussed condition, original wood grips. It cleaned up pretty. I put Pachmayrs on it.

Verily, the old 19s have some sweet DA triggers.

That's about right.
Clean ones run right in the $300 range and I love mine.
They aint makin' the 19 anymore.

Thanks guys... wasn't sure if it was worth it or not. But I liked the feel of it (although I might have to switch the grips, not sure)...

Paid $315 for mine. (19-7 2.5") With shipping and transfer $380. I went through a buddy's shop for the transfer so I don't mind so much.

Thing has very little wear. I'd consider it 90%.

Looking for leather and new boot-style grips.
