I have a brand new S&W model 3000. Came with original box, manual. It is 12ga, 26in IMP CYL shotgun. Gun store let me have it for $220.00 out the door. I think I got a great deal. I don't know much about them, other then they stopped making them a long, long time ago. Every thing I've read on these has been positive. Anyone have one? Any opinions on this weapon?

Thanks in advance.

There was something about the o-ring having problems. I do believe it was the S&W 3000. Not sure.

oops...wrong shotgun.

What really did the Howa/S&W/Mossberg 3000 in was that it simply didn't have anything to offer over the Remington 870.

The police buyers were gun shy after the Winchester Model 1200 fiasco so they didn't buy it.
Civilian buyers just didn't see any reason to buy it over the well known American made Remington.

The 3000 itself was a very good quality gun for civilian use.
It's a "Clone" of the Remington 870 but NOT exact. Parts don't exchange and some accessories made for the 870 won't fit the 3000.

For an interesting discussion regarding the merits of the Smith Model 3000, I refer you to a thread on this site, dated 12-22-2010.
