I have a .22 cal Model 617 Smith and Wesson in stainless. 6" bbl.
The cylinder hangs if I use any hot ammo (hyper velocity), i.e. Stingers.
It seems that the cartridge case backs out of the cylinder and presses against the rear face of the frame upn firing and creates excess friction, not permitting a follow up shot.
I have to constantly unload the offending cartridge after each shot.
Is there any known cure, or am I resigned to using standard velocity ammo ?
Any help is appreciated.
