I thought about a model of 1950, but my model of 1955 has been heavily worked over and is a dream to shoot. If I find a model of 1950 in good shape I would probably buy it but I am "not looking" (as if any collector can say that).
I looked into the triple lock hard, and after a bit of negotiation passed on one. Just did not feel right and the deal seemed a bit "off" so I passed. Some day I will get a triple lock target, but again, the time has to be right.
My current goal is more outdoorsman's, I really need a nice pre-war and a pre-war shooter. 38/38-44/357mag is about my limit of "enjoyment" for shooting. You get into the 44mags and it ceases to be fun (for me), thus no pre-29's etc.
I really should get some 4" heavy duties while I am at it.
I have sort of given up on getting more Registered's. Just to expensive for my blood right now. I think we need a recession or the stock market needs to take off so they sort of come free.
