Here's a pic of my 325 in the Andrews Leather McDanielII I just got a week ago. The McDaniel is lighter than the VM2 and conceals better, which is saying something. On the other hand, it's not as heavily constructed and probably won't last as long. I'm sold on it, though.

Glamdring,

The recoil is much more stout than shooting the .45 ACP in a semi-auto pistol. I can only assume that some of the recoil energy is dampened by the movement of the slide but all of my 1911s, Glock 36, Taurus OSS, Taurus 24/7, Taurus Millennium, and Sig P220s shoot easier than the Night Guard.

Hey is Bill's Shooting Range still open in Minneapolis? Actually it might be in Edina or Hopkins...

They always seemed to have good prices on new Smiths.

Bills has the Robbinsdale location and they bought the Armored Fire Range now known as Bill's North several years ago and cleaned up the mess!

45ACPUSER,

Exactly where is the Gun Stop? I have been trying to find it but I kind of dead end at a stip mall with a grocery store, but no sign of firearms emporium.

colt1903: The Gun Stop is the best-hidden secret in open sight in this area, I agree.

It is in "Glen Lake"--in the strip mall, just east of Kraemer's Hardware and west across the alley from the Post Office, on the North side of Excelsior Boulevard, across the street from the grocery store.

If you are not familiar with the West suburban area, the easiest way to it is to get on Excelsior Boulevard off a major north-south--such as 169 in Hopkins, or 101 in (western) Minnetonka.

I do it either by wandering around The Lake (what is that? that is Lake Minnetonka) from here, or by going west from 494 on Hwy 7--get in the left lane, and drop south on Williston to Excelsior Boulevard (watch the speed limit; Mtka Cops have been known to use Williston for city revenue enhancement), then make a quick left and a quick left; drive to the east end...)

I have an NG 386 on order now ($720.00 plus tax) with Larry and I just bought a CEDM2 from John on the reloading side. I just sold a SA P9C subcompact package through Larry by consignment, and Larry bought a NIB SS Security Six package from me last night. It took all of about fifteen minutes for these two transactions on two different occasions--and that is because Larry does everything by handwritten receipt, etc, thus saving time on computerized sales. John gives you a simple adding machine tape for your cash receipt. Truly, truly excellent people.

Best gun store I've ever been in for simple business with guns. If you want to window shop, then go to Cabela's.

Jim H.

jfh,

Thanks, and don't get me started on Cabelas. Oh, the guns they could have sold me if I could only have gotten a salesperson's attention.

I buy and trade a lot so the Gun Stop sounds like a great place and $720 is a great price for your NG.

The moved from Excelsior location to the location that was near Fresh Market strip mall in 2003. That is because the county redid Hwy 19. They they moved in early part of Dec 2006 down the Excelsior Blvd in Dec 2006. The new store location is hard to miss going past the intersection of Excelsior Blvd and Eden Prairie Rd on the north side of the road there is BP station, one story office bldg, USPS bldg, and finally The Gunstop With HUGE SIGN on Front of Building!

Not hard to find! And I assure you that Larry beats anyones's prices for brick and motar store! He is good person and John is prince of a man. That guy has forgot more about reloading them anyone knows!
