S&W Regulation Police in 38 S&W, Seems like it would be fun.

I have an opportunity to purchase a S&W Regulation police in 38 S&W it is an old I frame and SN 215xx, it is not an Improved I frame but has the leaf spring of an I frame.
Is it worth it to shoot 38 S&W? Any good loads and can you use 358 dia bullets?

With a half-moon front sight, the little round trigger guard and the stocks that sort of extend beyond the frame it definately rates high on the cool factor - as far as shooting it that gets pricey if you buy factory ammo. Try the HBWC with 3.5 gr of Unique, a soft cast .358 bullet would probably work but I haven't tried that (out of my .38 S&W pre-Victory). It is a 4"? I have a friend that has one and I'm trying to get him to sell it to me, I've got an old holster to fit it.
