Over a month ago I sent my Model 41 in due to a failure to fire problem. I had replaced the firing pin with no good outcome. The gun sat in the intake area of Smith for four weeks. I called and was told that it was no in the Performance Center, which is where they said it should have gone in the first place? They knew it was a model 41 so why was it not sent there immediately. Now the wait time is 9 to 10 weeks. This is a competition gun for which I have no backup so no Bullseye matches for me. My wife has a Ruger, but I can't shoot the thing worth a tinker's damn, so why mess with it? I am, needless to say, less than impressed. Hopefully, their work is better than their routing control.

Like Clark? I have not had occasion to use them in a long time, but they used to be excellent.
But, I also had good turnaround on a Smith sight repair from S&W back in the day.

S&W repairs have been backed up for quite some time. I needed my 66 worked on, and it was 8-10 weeks for the work to be done.
