Sabatti 22LR

Just purchased a Sabatti 33 LR with a Ruger 10/22 type action. It appears that the bolt locks back by raising a tab next to the trigger guard, however, the lock tab appear to be spring loaded and releases the bolt when I take my finger off of it.

Anyone have experience with this rifle?
