I have a serious lung condition that is making it dangerous for me, to use the more popular solvents for cleaning my guns. I am hoping someone here can tell me of a solvent that is more user friendly, as far as vapors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe you should look into some type of chemical respirator mask instead of trying to find something that either doesn't exist or doesn't work. You should be able to find some military surplus with replaceable charcoal canisters at a reasonable price.

Water based cleaners i.e. Slip 2000 725 or MPro 7 have no fumes and are non toxic. They work really well too.

I use Slip 725 cleaner, Slip Gun Lube and Mil Comm TW25B grease, which are all free of petroleum distillates.

I agree that you should try M Pro-7 Cleaner. I use it and it seems to work well and is free of odor and harmful fumes as far as I can tell. Depending on what you're cleaning you may have to soak or allow some time do dissolve stubborn deposits as with any cleaner/solvent but this one should do the job for you. You can search for promo videos on M Pro-7 (You Tube for example) if you'd like to see other opinions. Good luck.
