The moral is, your boss obviously is not from the South, or he would not have been rude enough to touch someone else's property. If he had, he would have been shown the error of his ways.
Aint that the truth. I was in a simular situation once, and was unemployed before he stood back up.

Back on topic: I've never really looked at one, might have to now.

Well it came in yesterday. Some of the AzN youf carry messenger bags so I don't stick out much. Will tote it around more and see how I like this style of carry.

Right now my P7M8. I bought it to fit a USPC as I plan to put a P2000 in it some day. The USPC fits in the 'Commander' model and the P7 fits in the 'Officers' model.

I don't have a "SafePacker" (yet)...

However, I do own a "Boxter" with a shark skin "flap" for my Seecamp. It's actually pretty easy to draw my pistol.
Just unsnap and pull out the bad news for the BG. Pretty good way to conceal.
Fairly fast draw.

I use one for hiking. Never had anyone give me a second look. I strap it on the wide belt of my backpack. I've practiced drawing and it is slow but the holster is secure.

Ok, does the whole pack come off when you draw? All the pics I see show the pack in hand. That would be very inconvienient if I wanted the pack to stay on me.

Anyone else think this looks like some sort of CD case?

{SITUATION}

Perp comes up, says give me your CD player.

I draw 10mm, perp craps his pants. Unfortunately, he will be thinking "Soft CD case = free gun" from now on.

{/SITUATION}:uhoh:

Looks like a great carry rig for my mom in the truck though. That or a fanny pack.

It can be adapted to a fanny pack though it may be an expensive solution.

I carry it as an over the shoulder bag, most people think it's a..well...black purse for man stuff I guess

It has a shoulder strap, I keep it in front of me instead of to the side so I can control it or access with either hand.

No, not as a fanny pack. It looks like it mounts to your belt. However, in pictures of draw, it is in the guy's hand. Is it always like that, or is it mounted to your belt unless you do something other than open the pack.

Also, it says that it can carry 1 or 2 mags extra. Does the government model have the capability of carrying 2 extra?

Thanks,

I have the Commander model and carry two spares for my P7M8 in it, for whatever that's worth...

Jeff...

Is there something on the inside of the Safepacker that secures the pistol and mags? Something like velcro straps maybe? They advertize those things as a way to keep a pistol and some relads in a "ready to go" mode.

I'm gonna get the Govt+1 , as it will fit everything I would want to carry . I look forward to putting it on the waist belt of my backpack when hiking!;)

I posted the same question to Wilderness. This is their response.
Mike, I probably wasn't clear enough laying out those photos. I'll reorder them. Those are two different methods of carrying the Safepacker. The belt-mounted carry stays very securely on the belt. The hand carry is an alternate that works quite well around town.

The Government should handle the Witness fine, but with only one double-column magazine. The mag pouch holds one high-capacity wide-body mag, or two single-column mags.

Hope that helps. Thanks for your interest in our products and have a good weekend.

Kinda nice that you can do both.:)

Nothing but the snug fit of the gun to keep it in place. It keeps it in place surprisingly well, though.
