for OHSA and ANSI suitable safety glasses, you can find very suitable glasses for under $5.00. seriously, I buy them by the half dozen and when they get scratched up or damaged I can toss them and not feel a pang. I have had good luck buying from Viking safety and industrial in St Paul MN. infact they had some decent rated sunglass models for 2.75 ea and i bought them as sunglasses for my kid's whole baseball team. I have bought Willson, Uvex, crews and elvex. ALL are good. some are more comfortable and durable than others. you will just haveto see what fits you. If you get a good pair, you will find that you do not mind slapping them on when you work, they become second nature and also i find myself becoming very self conscious of NOT having them on. My kids now wear them religiously, but even wearing them all the time not gurantee nothing will happen, but after grinding a broken weld and then feeling a thud and having blurred vision, i pulled off my glasses and noticed that a 1 inch x 1inch pice of the grinding wheel was now imbeded in the safety glasses. after that i felt a lot better. no eye damage just a $5.00 eye saver
