Savage 110 300wsm

So my Sil picked up a Hogue stock for his 110 in 300wsm. He didn't realize he would need a mag well. So his mag release is made into the mag on the OEM stock but he is open to AICS mags.
Who has changed the stock on your 110 short action and which way do you recommend, keep Savage mag or go AICS?

The cheap Savage plastic magwell is probably the easiest option. If it's a hunting gun, I don't really see a reason not to go that way besides the latches on those mags breaking from time to time.

The aics conversions are usually metal and a lot nicer.
