Savage 111 30-06 Bolt Removal

All,

I was just given a Savage 111, 30-06. I've never owned one before, I don't have a manual, and the company web site is of little help.

I simply want to remove the bolt for cleaning. There ain't too many moving parts on the darned thing, but I'll be danged if I can figure out how to remove it.

It is an older model.

Any help?

should just pull back on the trigger. if not that , then simultaniously push down on the safety, while pulling the trigger.
