Savage Arms 1907 question

My friends mother passed, and left him a Savage Arms 1907 .32. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in decades, and I told him that I would take it home and clean it up a bit (he knows absolutely nothing about firearms). Well, I'll be honest, my ignorance with this little pistol is high. I can't seem to figure out

A) How to clear it.
B) How to strip it.

There is no manual, and I've been unable to find anything online. I can get pictures up in a few if needed.
