Recently pulled the barrel from my Savage 110 in 7mm Rem Mag. Looks like the barrel had rosin in the threads as a thread lock, and I saw two marks that struck me as unusual. The first is a round punch-mark just back from the Savage barrel logo, so that it was hidden under the barrel nut. Also under the barrel nut was a "Z" mark. (I'll attempt to add pictures with the post.) Anyway, I read the punchmark as the rifle has been back to the factory once. Is the "Z" a maker's mark for someone like Z Hat?
