Savage bolt face

Can you buy and replace a bolt face with one for a different case head size? I have a Savage Model 111 in 7mm Rem Mag, and want to build a rifle with a regular 30-06 head size. Since I will be re barreling anyways, can I just buy a new bolt face from savage? or are there more modifications to be done?
I am going to gunsmithing school in 2 weeks and will learn re barreling. We work on a Remington 700, which I am changing from 7 Mag to 338 Win Mag, a 1917 enfield which will turn into a 25-06, and this Savage. I have always wanted a 220 Swift, and this may be the gun if I can change the bolt face easy enough.

You can buy just a bolt head for your Savage. Midway carries them, as do some of the Savage-specific vendors on their board.

Yes you can change bolt heads on your Savage .Also can do it for Brownings.It is one of the advantages of that style of bolt with removeable parts.

Thank you for the responses, I am glad it is possible to do what I want. It is nice to have a long action that can use a different case head size, it gives me more options for the re-barrel.
