Savage MkII-BV and CCI stinger ammo problem

I purchased a Savage MkII in .22 today and as soon as I got home I tried to cycle some CCI stingers through the action. Much to my dismay, I found that almost without fail, the rounds will jam in the rifle and not extract. I am afraid to fire a round for fear I will never get it out LOL. Remington and other cheap ammo give me no problems at all. However I love CCI and would hate to think I can't use it in this beautiful weapon.
