Ok so perhaps some of U may look at me like this :scrutiny: when I say that a Savage firearms 64F (Walmart) was my 1st firearm. Now equiped w/ a BB gun scope, sighted in by a Laserlyte laser bore sighting system, W/ 2 pair of taped 2gether bottom to bottom 10 shot clips, is ACTUALLY a very accurate little low cost (Cheapy) rifle. It has however given me FTFire issues & FTEject issues. I think it has to do w/ the trigger and now it's pulled. Has anyone had this experience or know why or how to deal with it. It may B the ammo I have used I have put Federal, Winchester 36 - 40 grain High Vel. ammo thru it. BTW can any1 tell me their opinion on Savage as a manufacturer?

My opinion on savage bolt action rifles is that they are that they are the most accurate rifle you can by at walmart and, easy to trick out if you wanted to.Im pretty sure you have one year of warranty on all new savage products but, they might fix it free anyway if its older. Id call savage and find out its probbably not a big deal.

Does No 1 know?

Thx 4 Ur reply, Would any1 else like to add any opinions or experiences. I C a couple views not many responses. Any way I'm going to go fire it a bunch today.

I don't know about Savage semi-autos, but the bolt guns they make have a very good reputation for accuracy and quality. I'd try different ammo first; I've never had good luck with Federal 22s. The CCI stuff seems to be the best out there. After that I'd call Savage and see what they say - good chance they'll try to help ya out.

+1 for CCI.
I wouldn't use Remington ammo either.
We got a box not long ago filled with all kinds of worries.

I had a 10FP LE Hvy BBL. By far one of the most accurate rifles I have ever shot.1/4 MOA. It was a bit picky on the ammo. Fed. Match or some handloads a guy at the range used to hook me up with.Remington ammo sucked in it.
From 50 yards to 750 yards it was a damned nice rifle.
Last time I had it was in Tuscon, AZ ( I live in NC), I was shooting at a range out to 1000yrds. nailing an 18" gong. Guys with CZs, Rems and the likes were fairly impressed. One guy so much, that he bought it off me, at a profit for me too :D.
Next one I get, yes I will buy another one, but only this time the 24"bbl, and a non Savage stock. The stocks that Savage makes are a bit crappy.
I will more than Likely get this one "Model 10FP HS Precision".

You cant go wrong with a Savage.
