On the SB47, what is kind of alloy is the metal? I'm assuming it is a steel alloy, but I am not sure. Suggestions?
 
What suggestions are you wanting?

The portion that goes between the grip and receiver is steel. That is bolted to the piece that the tube is threaded into, bot of which are aluminum.
 
I'm talking about the portion that is between the grip and the receiver. What kind of steel alloy is it?
