School Administration

I am a student at a Community College in FL.
Florida law allows me to keep a pistol locked in my car, but the law also has a provision for School's to ban this on campus parking lots if they so choose.
My school has banned firearms from cars in thier parking lot.
I want to propse that they allow Students with a Concealed Weapons Permit keep thier pistol locked in thier car.
Now how do I find the facts?

hoppinglark, Your first course of action should be directed to the board of directors of the college. They make the policies and can amend them. It should not be difficult to contact them, the administration office at your college should have their names. I would ask to be put on the agenda for the next regularly scheduled board meeting (which should be open to the public). Be prepared to logically plead your case for an amendment to the current policy. Be concise in your presentation. Good Luck. yf

I am in favor of the term. "Unless authorized by Law" They can post their signs but still allowed those that are properly licensed.

I need solid arguements, anyone know good source material?
I've read something hear about Concealed Weapons Permit holders being less likely to commit a crime etc.
Where do I get those facts?
