This may be old news, but I thought some might not have heard. As I'm sure most know by now, Schrade went out of business last year.
I just found out about Taylor Brand LLC, who aquired the right to market the Imperial Schrade brands in November 2004. I've always enjoyed the utility and workmanship of Schrade knives. Lots of bang for the buck. Hopefully they'll remain a high standard knife. Just thought folks might like to know....
Here's the website.

Yep! ........and now the old standards, like the Sharpfinger & Golden Spike, are now being manufactured in China, and carry the old Schrade tang marks ~ along with "made in China".

The Sharpfinger is also being manufactured now by Camillus in an upscale model; as well as United, under their Outdoor Life brand. Apparently Taylor is licensing the use of the "Sharpfinger" design.

In short -

Taylor bought the intellectual property and will have knives manufactured under the various Scharade/Uncle Henry/... names. Some will be produced in a new U.S. manfacturing facility he's building in E.T.

SMKW and United bought components to finish out and sell.

Many companies bought manufacturing equipment to use in their facilities.

I own some very high quality Chinese cutlery items but Taylor stuff is crap. :(

These are the same people that import Smith& Wesson Cuttin Horse and Winchester knives IIRC.

I bought every Schrade pen knife I could get my hands on before the sell off

I think I added about 20 to the 5 or so I already had
