Scope for my RWS Diana 54 22.

My old Leapers 3x9 pooped the roost today. Can’t get it any closer than 11-1/2” high and 2-1/2” left at 50’. Not that familiar with scopes for springers, what should I be looking for to replace the Leapers?

There are a couple of guys here who know what you need. They directed me towards a Hawke brand 3x9x40 with adjustable parallax. It is a great scope. Made for spring guns.
Until you hear from some other guys, you could entertain yourself by looking at the Hawke scopes on www.airgundepot.com.

I have a Hawke on my Air King 54 and it’s been very reliable. It’s only a fixed 4X scope but has held up well. I have a 4x16 UTG on my 52 that’s probably got close to 10,000 shots. So a UTG or Hawke are reliable in my opinion and experience.

I have a Hawke 4-16x44 SF on my AA TX200 mk3 using Sportsmatch rings, so far so good at ~16fpe.

The 54's hammer scopes, mine did and it killed 2 in a row many years ago.. you might want to ask the techie types at Pyramyd/Airgundepot about what scopes are known to live long on 54's, or maybe there's a Diana forum somewhere?

The Diana Bulleye scope mount will allow you to use any scope made. It has its own recoil action so the scope doesn’t recoil at all.
I have 54’s in .177@12ftlbs, .20@19ftlbs, and had a .22 @20ftlbs with no problems. The .20 sported a 35 target scope for 100 yard shooting at times as well.

I have two of these and they work really well. 2 caveats.
-They sit high. So keep that in mind. The recoil system needs a little space so they sit a little high.
-It is a little disconcerting seeing scope play/movement. You don't notice it AT ALL during firing but in general handling, if you bump the scope it moves (as its designed to) and there is a hair of lateral play (as it needs to have for the system to work) and while neither of these things effect accuracy at all in my experience, they can be a little disconcerting after many years of rock solid scope mounting.
