What distance do you intend to shoot mostly, and what is your budget?
This will decide what scope/optic to go with. Don't just buy an optic based on looks or specs; buy one that will suit your type of shooting.
A basic low-power scope should do just fine. Maybe a 1-4x or 3-9x. No need for anything higher than 9x magnification until you know how to shoot and how to properly shoot long distance.
For example, I started on a basic Red dot with no magnification on my 10/22 before moving to a Bushnell 3-9x scope.
