I am new at this and this is my first rifle, I have been a shotgun guy. Anyway, I bought a new Browning X-bolt medallion and Nikon Monarch 3-14. After I went out to sight in the scope, I noticed some marks on the side of the gun being made by the shell being ejected. The shell is hitting the bottom of the scopes windage adjustment when it is being ejected. Does the scope mount look correct? Or is it too low to the gun. The eye relief is fine for me.
I am not as concerned about the marks, since I do know it will get more when I go out to hunt. I just want to make sure the scope mount and height off the gun looks correct.
Thanks.
