So my wife wants me to pick out a Christmas present for my self. I would like to upgrade the scope rings on my Tikka T3 What style or brand would your get? This is basically a truck gun and coyote gun for me. Its a 243

Budget is about a $100.00

I use/have used the DNZ one piece lows on several rifles. They work great and don't require a lot of fussing to set up.

Grubby;

I have several Tikka's, one a .338WM a caliber known for substantial recoil. They all wear Talley rings. The .338 originally had a set of Burris rings/mounts on it & they failed to hold. I live & hunt in "Outer Montana" & the guns get used rigorously every year with no further problems since switching to the Talley's.

I like the DNZ one piece, I've had them on a few rifles. They run about $60-70. My T3 Tactical has a picatinny rail and Burris "Tactical" style rings. You can figure about $80 on a setup like that, depending on what rail you go with.

My DIL just finishe deer season with her brand new Tika Lite .270 win.. She needed 30mm rings, and time was short, so we went with Warne, primarily because they were locally available.

The rifle shot 1/2" with the hunting load we had worked up for it, and the rings held just fine off the lead sled. During the hunt, and prior to her taking a 466 yard shot at a little tiny couse deer, she had dropped the rifle multiple times, with obvious dings to the scope and rings. Her 466 yard shot found it's way to a perfect heart / lung shot, which lifted my confidence in those rings.

Given the choice, we would have likely gone with DNZ, but I can't say I'm at all disappointed with the Warne rings.
