Just a bit of exaggeration for the title. But for most intents and purpose that could possibly arise I think this covers alot of bases pretty well. Especially out in the sticks. Hopefully everyone is doing well! Gun season in these parts start in a couple weeks looking fwd to having this in rotation this year. 🙌

Not sure about it as a truck gun but I think it's one of the best hunting revolvers extant.

Well, I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade but I've had difficulty with optical sights on handguns. I've tried several and this is the only gun I have left with and optical sight. A 45 ACP 1911 with a Tasco sight.

For handgun, I find the optical sight a bit more distracting for quick follow up shots than standard iron sights. But this is one data point and others may have better success with the optical handgun sights.,

I have only experience with hogue and stock grips. What grips have you preferred? You 44 wears a nice pair/set

I put these on tonight from Amazon Hogue LamoCamo... im not sure if I care for them. The hogue wood grips that are on my Gp100 have checkering. These feel a little smooth to me. I'll leave them on for a bit and see if they grow on me 20231112_174416.jpg

You could shoot a truck with that but only the smaller ones. Rangers, Mavericks, etc.
Seriously, I like it. Still wish I'd bought the 454 way back for $399 in a local shop. I guess that was a different thread.

yeah... prices have changed drastically in the last 10 years. Its crazy.

Great pictures.
If the price was in another country's currency, I wonder if it would be so crazy.
(Value of the U.S. dollar!)

Sorry, no pictures! :( I have 2, a S&W 686 in 357 Magnum with a 2X Leupold and a Ruger Super Redhawk in 44 Magnum, also with a 2X Leupold. Both revolvers have 6 or 6-1/2 inch barrels.

Please educate me, as I have never owned a truck.
Why is it a truck gun? I can only guess.

i cannot focus on sights and target anymore. my 66 has a sro trijicon and my 6inch 629 has a weaver 45mm qwik point from the 90s.
