Has anyone forward mounted a scope on a remington 600. If so how and if you have pics could you please post them. Also what do you guys suggest in a good affordable scope?

Thanks in Advance.

I first did it in 1979 , using a Buehler mount that replaced rear sight and holes on reciever.I used a lighter mount of aluminum on a 4.75 pounder I had Chet Brown do in 1981 using same holes- but it got stollen and the excrement that bought the stollen property won't return it and wants lots of $$$ for me to buy it back :fire:

If I was to do it today I would use a shrink on sleeve from AO that brownells sells.

Burris made a Scout Scope base specifically for Remingtons, including 600/660 rifles. Takes some gunsmithing to fit it.

Also check out the XS Clifton Scout Scope base. It's a very similar design to my Ching Ring (Brent Clifton and I both worked on the concept), and it'll be much more rugged and secure than the Burris. Needs gunsmithing, too, but a bit simpler than the for the Burris, and some barrel channel relieving.
