Screaming deal on Weaver scopes

Just a heads up....I saw the new Natchez catalog today. Weaver is evidentially discontinuing or changing some of the higher end line. They have the existing ones on sale at something like 50-70% off.

IIRC, scopes retailing for about $975 were in the $325 range. I haven't used these particular scopes, but I had a Weaver on a Contender pistol and it was quite excellent for the money.

Buyer beware. I ordered one and it was not as advertised. Wrong turrets and the turret that was there was loose and floating. I posted in another thread.

May have been just my scope, or there may be a reason they are being sold at a big discount.

I returned it and it is still in shipping. I would expect that they will refund original and return shipping since it was defective per the turret that floated around. I have no reason to think they will not make it right.

If people can get a deal great. Helpful of you to post. My experience was hopefully a one off. Or not.

I did not reorder because something is not right when the turrets don't match the model number. Something is going on and I don't have the time to mess around with it. The glass was great in it. I could see bugs flying around in the morning sun clear as could be.

I bought a Burris MTAC from Natchez and the switch on illumination was whacky. They took it back no problem and refunded my money plus shipping. I was pleased with their customer service.

I've spent a small fortune with those guys and figure that Weaver experience is probably an anomaly.
