The Screwpop tools are ridiculously handy little buggers. I have about 5 of them stashed around the house. The magnet keeps them super handy. One stuck to the dryer for cutting the foil seals on laundry detergents, one hanging on the steel service door going into the garage just because, and I keep one on my keychain at all times. That one sports a serrated blade. I like to keep it for dirty jobs where ripping through the material is preferable to slicing through. When I go to the courthouse to pull building permits, I can just dump the blade in the cupholder of my truck and have something that passes as safe through the metal detector. Actually, I have forgotten to take the blade out several times going through and have never had an issue. They just don't even look at it. I didn't do it on purpose, just forgot to take it out. It wouldn't be a big deal. They would just make me ditch the blade in the trash before I went in. No big loss there.
I love the freedom the little Screwpop offers in terms of being a totally minimal tool. I went on vacation to the beach and brought nothing but it with me. It opened bottles and cut open snacks. Perfect for that. I just wore it as a neck knife on a lanyard. The blade got of funky due to the salt water and the carbon steel, but i just chucked it at the end of the day, wiped out the stainless tool, and put a new blade in.
Love these little EDC.
