Seattle 2nd amendment group is official

Our first meeting was today and it was a complete success. I want to thank the people here for their support and backing. We will be meeting once per month and there were a lot of great ideas from people. We are planning social activities and I will keep people informed here as to what is happening. There is always more room for more people if interested. We have a great core going. Once again thank you for your support.

WA has an extremely active yahoo group with 800+ members. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wa-ccw/ These guys are great about coordinating attendance at Olympia when it is critical to fight anti-gun legislation. They help get the people in the seats, where and when it's needed.

The WA section of opencarry is also very large and active. http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum55/ IIRC, Lonnie posts there a lot, along with other activists like Workman. These are the guys, imho, that are seriously 'getting stuff done' in the best sort of way. They understand the legal aspects AND the best tactics to use.

Update on Seattle Group

The offical name of the group is Citizens For The 2nd Amendment. Things have been going great. Have added 2 more people so we are up to 7 and one is a firearms lawye. I have done 2 interviews with local newspapers and one reporter of Seattle Weekly wants to go shooting with us after the next meeting. Also being featured in an add for Washington Arms Collectors magazine the director of that group is on board so as you can see it is getting there.
