Wow what a treat I had waiting for me when I walked through the door tonight. The wife and baby greeted me with love as always! The wife goes Oh yea, you got a package in the mail today that I had to sign for. Low and behold my Sebenza had arrived. I had purchased this from a person on ebay that gave me a second chance offering due to the orginal buyer not paying for the item. I purchased a Large Sebenza made in 2007. I had seen several pictures of this knife and decided to really treat myself. I open the package and wow what a great built knife. I had never held one prior to buying this (I know I was taking a big chance), but I've been reading about these knives forever. The knife is in PERFECT shape, the original owner had the swedge sharpened which I actually really like. She's beautiful, riding in my pocket right now as I type this out. Happy camper right now!

I'll bet you're happy. I've used one daily for years and I only have this to say about the Sebenza:

I'm happier with it now than when it was new because it's met all the challenges.

I think I'll invest $27 and send it back for a refurbish since I've worn it smooth. I have a new one to use in the meantime that's sitting in the box in the safe - I got a wholesale price on it years ago and have never used it. I don't quite recall why I bought it - as a backup? - but one has done the job.

John

P.S. - Now I remember, great price, different model, and it had the new steel in the blade. I know, excuses to spend $$.

I bought the "Regular" Large size Sebenza. I tell you, I was back at work today and had it with me. The action is so smooth on this knife, I really have enjoyed it in the last couple of days that I've had it.

I plan on sending the knife back for refinishing sometime (I bought the knife used), sometime. I just don't know when! LOL

Hard to judge...

High Power 1--Photo, please. Pretty please??

Back when I carried a large reg Seb , friends always thought it was a huge knife , until my other bud showed up with his Custom Blackwood Skirmish , my large seb didnt look so large no more ;)

If you decide to get a sheath made for it , look up Gary Graley over on Blade Forums , he makes some of the nicest you can find.

this is one he did for me ( the size of the cell phone tells you how old it is , one set of foot prints for each of my sons. )

CRK in my opinion definitely in the top tier of knife makers.
I use the CRK Skinner (Ubejane) as my main hunting knife. I live a couple of miles from his production plant in Boise and drop in occasionally to drool over the Sebenzas in his display cases. The Sebenza will be my next purchase from Chris and his great line of knives.
