Is the Seecamp LWS380 really "worth it"?
Ok, here's your definitive answer..
Yes and No.
If you are a gun "nut" (as I am), and you want the "best of the best" in quality and desirability in the smallest "mousegun" nitch?
Yep.
I have one.
If you are just a regular guy/lady, desiring the "best of the best" in quality and desirability in the smallest "mousegun" nitch?
No.
Here's why.
The one advantage in the LWS380 vs the LWS32 is obviously in the size of the hole at the end of the barrel, and while a 32 round can never get larger, a 380 round will never shrink. (yeah, I stole that)...
But..
The jury is still "out" on how much difference in ACTUAL performance you can expect coming from such a short barrel between the 32 and 380 rounds.. Not sure that jury is ever coming back.
I started with an LWS32 and felt well armed.. But I'm a gun "nut", and the rarity and desirability of the elusive LWS380 was just something I felt I "had to have"..
Now I have both and I carry my LWS380 daily, but would not feel undergunned with my original LWS32. My wife has her own LWS32, and loves it. After shooting my LWS380 ONCE she won't go near it again.
The drama associated with actually shooting the LWS380 is akin to an M80 (?) firecracker going off in your hand. You WILL get trigger slap, and finger pain. The recoil is harsh (for me), and I find a fingertip mag extension was almost mandatory to hold on to the sucker.
I believe the "average" gun person will be very, very happy with a LWS32, and probably not so much with the LWS380.
A good friend of mine recently asked me my advice on whether to buy the LWS32 or the LWS380 and I didn't hesitate telling him to buy the LWS32.. Actually I told him to buy a new LWS32 with a custom serial number, and take the money leftover from not buying the LWS380 to buy a new Ruger LCP..
The Ruger LCP is actually almost pleasant to shoot in 380 cal. I have two of these, and my wife has one of her own.
I enjoy carrying my LCP when I can, but generally the depth of my trouser pockets (I carry rear pocket) demand only the tiny Seecamp can make the trip.
No Ruger will ever have the "build quality, or unique aspects" of the Seecamp pistols, but they are reasonably priced, and in my experience are reliable and surprisingly accurate.
Just my old fart 2c worth, but I'm old so you know I have to be right..

Actually since the LWS25 (no longer in production), LWS32, and LWS380 are all identical in size it makes no difference. But both photos are of "LausDeo1" (my LWS380).
I added the fingertip mag extension to "LausDeo1". It really makes the little pocket rocket a bit more manageable.. LOL
Our little family "stable" of 3 Seecamps include my wife's LWS32 (1JOANN), and my LWS32 (LausDeo2), and my LWS380 (LausDeo1).
Often just looking at a photo can be misleading as to comparative sizes, but the LWS25/32/380 are all the same size.
In fact the R.J. Hedley holster shown was purchased for my LWS32, and when I got my LWS380 I just carry it in that.
Perfect fit.

I have had one for over five years. I bought it for times I didn't want to carry my PM9 or JFrame.
At the time the LCP and similar genre didn't exist and it was the best high quality reliable choice albeit ammo specific.
I probably wouldn't spend the same money today on one. That said, there is nothing like a LWS 380 and I'm glad I have it. I carry it more than anything else I own. I put a grip extension on it and carry it in a DeSantis Nemesis holster.
At the time the LCP and similar genre didn't exist and it was the best high quality reliable choice albeit ammo specific.
