A friend of mine has a Seekins Havok, it's a 1st class rifle, easily sub MOA with Norma factory 300WM ammo (he's burning to get brass). Fit and finish are excellent, the trigger is great and it's a lot of rifle for the asking price.
Personally IF it was me, I'd skip the .308Win and go with either a 6.5C or the 6.5PRC (my choice). Both will do better (wind & drop) at the long range game, save you some recoil and are perfectly adequate for hunting.
I just bought a .308Win, just cause I've got a a lot of loaded .308 left over. It's a great caliber, but for me sort of meh.. For deer I generally use something either smaller due to range, or something faster due to potential range, or something bigger due to much closer range.
It's a great "all around" cartridge, but I'm not an "all around rifle, sort of guy.
