Have you guys seen the pics of the USFA 1858 on their homepage? They must have just been put up today, as I was there yesterday and don't recall seeing them. Here's the direct link: http://www.usfirearms.com/pdf/shotshow_08.pdf(scroll down).

It looks pretty authentic to me, for what that's worth. I know they make really great guns, and am curious to see how this one stacks up. I literally just bought a Ruger Old Army (in the mail now), but I don't think I'll regret it. If anything, the stainless is probably a bit more practical than the "antiqued" finished of the 1858.

That aside, I'd love to get my hands on a USFA snubnose. Beautiful piece.

The snubbie or the 1858? Both are going for well over 1K, which is a bit more than I have in my gun budget at the moment.

Is this speculation or is this the actual price? I have been keeping my eyes peeled for the announcement of a price by USFA but have seen nothing official as of yet. Today was the first day of the SHOT show here in Las Vegas where the guns are suppose to be unveiled; I was hoping somebody would go and take pictures, but have yet to see anything on the internet.

The price of the snubbie is set on their site. The 1858 is just speculation, but based upon the prices of their other guns, and considering it has a custom shop finish, I wouldn't expect it to go for any less than 1K. $600 MAYBE...

I feel like Ruger was getting about all one could expect to get top money for a cap and baller ...after all it is a front stuffer . I`m thinking 600 bucks or in that range . The 1875 ..don`t know ..thats another world . As long as Uberti keeps stamping out the nice 1858`s they do and theirs are still in the 300 dollar price range , I don`t have a problem with Uberti quality , USFA knows that ...so we`ll see ,shouldn`t be long before they let the cat out of the bag on the prices ......after all USFA does sell the Colt 1873 clones starting at around 600 bucks .

It looks to be very well finished. Regarding price and all that, one should remember that it does carry the official E. Remington name, and that's gotta come at a premium. It's the first Remington 1858 since around 1858ish.

...that 1875 is a pretty cool looking gun.
