sell or trade gun into dealer (FFL)

Hi. I have a gun I recently bought, and though I haven't shot it yet I just had a question. In my state, people 18-21 can own handguns (whether they get them from family or private sales, doesn't matter). I know that FFL holders can not transfer a handgun to anyone under 21. But my question is, if down the road I want to sell or trade a handgun in to the dealer, they have to record it in their 'bound book'. Being between 18 and 21, could I do this? Just wondering. Thanks!

Yes, all guns taken in by a dealer will go into the bound book. I would recommend calling a dealer and asking.

Yes, you as an under 21 year old may legally transfer a handgun to an FFL. The FFL just can't transfer one to you.

Keep in mind if you place a handgun on consignment with a dealer they won't be able to transfer it back to you in you are under 21.

With an outright sale or trade you will be fine.
