So, I find myself in need of some cash, and have a bit of ammunition laying around. I'm looking to sell 1k rounds of Wolf 5.56mm steel cased/polymer coated, and I'm wondering what suggestions people would have as to the best way of selling it - online, on Craigslist (if they'll even let me?), newspaper, garage sale, or a forum like here?

Am I even allowed to post things here for sale? I don't SEE anything in the rules about not being allowed to, but I don't see a place to really put it either.

Suggestions/pointers appreciated.

You can sell via craigslist but there are people out there with nothing to do but flag gun related sales.

And I found out some gun buyers flag gun related sales to eliminate buyer compatition.

Here on the forum and the AR15 forum is where I would suggest. Try to sell local to avoid the cost and hassle of shipping.

You could do craigslist but it usually gets flagged. Put your real email and other contact info on there instead of the reply through craigslist email system. You would be suprised how many fellow gunners are scanning! Oh and byw!! In the obama nation of ammunition accountability you will need a lisence for ammunition. So I would keep any mass of extra ammo for barter or personal reasons for when it really hits the fan

Selling or trading ammunition others make is fine and requires no FFL. To sell ammunition that you make requires a type 06 FFL and ITAR registration.
