What is the technical difference between an auto and a semi AR15 BCG? The BCG will be installed in a semi only weapon.

On a separate note, who makes the best BCG?

Thanks.

The difference between a semi auto BCG and a full auto is the area in the rear of the BCG that is used to trip the auto sear.

Full auto BCG are a little heavier, some say they run better with most gas systems.

No one really makes the best, as long as they are milspec, and from a reputable company they should work.

The extra weight of a full-auto BCG will help delay unlocking (a plus with the carbine gas system), and it is the correct weight as designed and intended for the BCG. Stick to a full-auto BCG. So long as you have NO OTHER M16 parts, you will be fine legally.

I recommend the Auto BCG from Bravo Company. It's what I use.
