hi, I recently bought molot Vepr 1V 5.56×45 VPO 155 with 16 inch barrel.it is semi automatic. In my country i have the legal right to keep a fully automatic rifle. my question is, is it technically safe to convert this rifle into a fully automatic rifle?

I am not familiar with that particular rifle, but ...

Such a conversion for a locking-bolt (as opposed to open-bolt, like a submachine gun) rifle would only be safe with a positive Auto Sear mechanism included. The auto sear linkage guarantees that the hammer cannot drop until/unless the breech is closed.

An example of incorporated but unused auto sear linkage in a semi-auto can be seen in the Soviet SVT-40 rifles. For those rifles to be fired the (tilting) bolt presses down on a "button" in the receiver that unlocks the trigger pack.

HTH :)

I don't think the 155 was ever sold in the U.S. That might limit the number of useful responses.
