Any HR members own one of these. Looking to get Into a PCP rifle primarily for indoor target shooting, as a step up from My Crosman made from parts carbine.
The charging requirements and cost, too old for a foot pump, are making me hesitant. I like the dual charging system if I could manage the mechanical pumping. A Yong Heng compressor could be on next years budget.
Amazon has them for about the same cost as the Gauntlet.

Judging from the total lack of replies either no one owns one of these or they are indeed as bad as some of the reviews.
Still hung up on the added cost of charging one of these PCP’s, and in my case it’s just an itch created by a lack of range time from COVID closures and fears. A buddy said the range is largely deserted on Wednesday mornings so like a turtle peeking out of its shell I am returning to the gun range and air guns will once again retreat into the niche they formerly occupied.

Sorry, I'm not on the Forums much do to work. I have three Nova Freedoms which are the same as the Aspen. So far I really like them even if they are kinda ugly, lol. As with anything made in China it's a gamble whether you get one that works as it should or is a nightmare constantly needing repairs. I bought mine from American Tactical a couple of years ago as parts guns for a little over $100 each shipped. I think the Parts guns were ones people had bought and returned and AT didn't want to or didn't have the time to troubleshoot what, if anything, was wrong with them. Two of the three were great - no problems. The third wouldn't pump up and I still need to figure out what's wrong. There are a lot of posts on the GTA ( Gateway To Airguns) forum about them. Everything from modifications to repairs. There is/was one member swagging heavier slugs also that really work well. I liked the option to hand pump up to PCP levels and the ability to shoot up to 10 pellets or slugs before pumping again. Some guys shoot one or two pellets then pump a few times to get the pressure topped off. I bought three Parts guns for the price of one at the regular price hoping at least one would be good and the other two would be good for spare parts. I sold one of the good ones for what I had in it and still need to figure out why one won't hold pressure. It's probably a bad O-ring. A couple of things you want to do is keep the seals lubricated more than what the instructions advise and don't pump it up all at once. I do sets of 10 pumps then let it cool down. Thanks for the input. Still looking, back to the gun club with regular type firearms so the plans have been shelved until winter sets in, then I’ll get the itch again.
