Seriously, what is with the falling prices of firearms

I didn't say 15-20% of US gun owners are active shooters. I said about 15-20% of the US Population are active shooters.

Falling prices could be a sign of deflation.

Not unless it is happening across all commodities -- finished goods and raw materials.

I don't see why deflation is so bad, but then we have zero debt. OTOH with the national debt about to equal GDP, deflation would make us Greece far faster than the current policies are doing it.

At the last gun show ARs were everywhere (as usual) and some very nice prices could be found, AKs not so much, and the prices seemed high for what was out there.

How so? Did Brady 1 have a bit of impact on Bill's political career? No.

When Clinton was elected Democrats controlled all branches of government, President, Senate, and House. The Brady bill was enacted at the end of 1993. In the November election of 1994, Democrats lost control of both the House and Senate. The Brady Bill was not the only reason Democrats lost in 1994 but it was a big reason.

So yes, it did impact Bill Clinton's career and in a big way.

People shopping in large Sporting Goods Stores are much more likely to be aware of gun related issues than say Walmart shoppers.
I have plenty of friends that hunt with me that may own a 22 but rarely if ever shoot them. For those people the shortage may be something they read about but they aren't out there shopping for 22 ammo. I would hazard to say that 90% of my friends/acquaintances have at least one gun in the household but maybe 20% have been impacted by ammo shortages. That 38 special hasn't been fired 20 times in the past ten years.
I bet even in Bass Pro and the other big stores the percentage of people that are looking for 22 ammo is tiny. No evidence to support that but the woman buying a tennis skirt and the man buying a golf hat aren't necessarily into guns.

I learned many years ago that labor, administrative costs, legal-liability issues, marketing & other factors cause a US made firearm to have a steep price.

Don't forget the 11% Fed tax on guns.

No evidence to support that but the woman buying a tennis skirt and the man buying a golf hat aren't necessarily into guns.

You have no evidence because it isn't true.

Are you suggesting that everyone in a sporting goods store is into guns and/or aware of the ammo situation? If so then you are delusional.

Bill Clinton is quoted as saying the NRA was victorious in that election...
