Hi everyone ok here is the deal I recently got into reloading for my new 6.5 PRC (I’ve been hand loading for close to 12 years now) anyways I had a standard set of rcbs dies for it but I’ve become a Big fan of bushing dies so I ordered a Redding FL Type S bushing sizing die and an appropriate bushing based on my measurements Now here is the Problem when I went to resize my brass it is leaving a very thin ring that is shiny at the back of the shoulder right where it straightens out to form the case body does anyone know why this would happen and if I can fix it?

I’m not picturing what you’re describing. Have a photo?

Just a shiny ring? As in a witness mark where the shoulder is being pushed by the body/shoulder junction of the die?

It's definitely big driven into the neck/body junction of the die.

In 243 Win, i have standard RCBS & Redding fl bushing. When i first used the Redding years ago, i noticed something different in that area. Measurement showed the Redding sizes to a smaller diameter in that area then RCBS. It looks different.

Does a finger nail catch on any narrow raised edge?

No you can’t feel it and it chambers in my rifle fine I’ll load one and see

Obviously some kind of rub mark, can you get some measurements at the case shoulder junction before and after sizing ? Might be note worthy to know how much sizing is going on there.

It looks to me like the die is just sizing the top of the brass body as it goes all the way up to the bushing. You can check this by attempting to size another brass but stop when you feel resistance drop the brass back out and inspect. If clear keep putting it back in further each time until it shows the mark. It probably will not hurt anything but is partially sizing that part of the fired case.
