Shipping a pistol within Texas...

My cousin was borrowing one of my handguns for the past six months or so and now he has purchased his own. My guestion is:

1) Is it legal for him to rush ship (UPS/Fed-Ex) the weapon to me WITHIN Texas, or do I have to go and pick it up?

I know shipping guns across state lines is a big no-no, but I'd like to skip a 4 hour drive if I can.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have done NOTHING yet.

Yes, but you will have to ship it overnight as that is the only way FEDEX or UPS will ship a handgun.

Might have a bit of difficulty finding a carrier that will ship without an FFL being involved at one end or the other.
