Shocked at this Months Shotgun Sports Editorial

I was shocked when I read this months Shotgun Sport when the editor suggested that tracking devices in guns was a good idea. He claimed it 'hinted' at big brother but the benefits in case your gun was stolen out weighed the negatives. I am speechless.

He, like so many - is not stopping to think outside of the box. He sees the apparent benefit but seemingly does not stop to see the ramifications.

He should stop to consider what ''they'' could do with this ''wonderful'' technology .... I expect he thinks that chip implants in kids are great too! :(

Maybe this guy has bought into the rhetoric of the anti gun, incrementalism is the way to ban them, crowd. We don't want hunting guns (yet), as we all believe that the people have a right to own guns (shotguns and sporting guns only please) for hunting and sporting purposes. As a matter of fact, many of us who want to ban handguns and semiautomatic rifles that look like they belong to the military, are hunters and sport shooters ourselves. Why would we ever come after shotguns (we'll let you have double barrels) or deer rifles (eventually we'll have to call these sniper rifles and ban them, but you can use slugs in your double barrel to hunt deer).
